We're On Our Way!
Well, we're $877.39 closer to being debt free! (By the way, my running total is up at the top of this page.) The last few weeks have been all about scrounging up every spare penny to throw at our debt. At the start, I didn't think we could come up with even $100 extra bucks a month. I'm shocked we found almost $1000! I guess that's what happens when you've got a plan...at least that's what Dave Ramsey tells me.
Speaking of Dave Ramsey, I got his book, The Total Money Makeover
, from the library and I read it in one sitting. I would HIGHLY recommend it. I am SOLD. OUT. We've implemented his Baby Steps and we have set a goal to be completely debt free (including our mortgage) in 7 to 10 years. Woohoo! All I can say is, READ. THE. BOOK.
The guy is totally motivating and the book is full of testimonies of people just like you and me who have paid off enormous amounts of debt. It's very inspiring.
